Fun Kids Educare

A big thanks to your company for the installations of the Guardian Safety matting and Ultramat at Funkids Educare.

Guardian Matting
The Guardian matting was installed around 5 years ago and has continued to be better than we expected.

Our primary requirement was to install a New Zealand Standards compliant safety mat. In addition, scuffed out and muddy areas were a significant problem for us prior to the installation so it's been great that this is still solved. Even after this time the grass look and feel is still thoroughly enjoyed by the kids.

As grass is reasonably scarce in built up areas, we often receive positive comments from the parents regarding the natural 'eco-friendly' appearance. Of course these are the people who choose which day care their child will attend.

As we are a busy day care, the staff appreciate the low maintenance. Debris and spills usually do not have to be cleaned up, particularly compared to rubber matting we've used at other day care's we have owned. Additionally the Guardian matting is largely under direct sunlight and it remains at a cooler temperature for summer use.

Ultramat
Based on the confidence we gained from the Guardian matting, we decided to choose your Ultramat for our recent expansion requirements.

Permanent installation was simple - we didn't even need to glue it to the concrete and decking. The staff like the lightness of the Ultramats we use for portable situations. They never get water logged and around the sandpit sweeping the sand off is a breeze. The colours, texture and warm insulation has been great for the under2's.

As we require a NZS compliant mat, we were surprised to discover the Ultramat worked out to be cheaper than carpet. Setting up an Early Childhood Education Centre is expensive. This was an excellent economical choice.

It is with pleasure that I write to thank you for your prompt, helpful and efficient service throughout the Queenstown Lakes District Council's Playground Upgrade programme.

As the Council's agents in this project we undertook extensive evaluation of all materials available in making a final recommendation to the Council. It was very rewarding to see our recommendations accepted and more importantly see the finished product function better than hoped.

Of particular note from your company's point of view is the success of the "All Safe" rubber matting. The larger rubber mats placed under the wear areas have proven easy to install, maintenance free and safe.

Child's Play

A short note of thanks for supplying us with such a wonderful product as Allsafe.

We operate a pre-school educational facility and laid our playground area with your matting in April. Normally at this time of the year our playground is just a mud pool and unusable by the children. We have had a bad drainage problem in the past and it looks as though this product has solved a major problem for us, not only does the area look very attractive but it is now usable in. all weathers. Our winter has been a. very cold one with heavy' frosts most mornings and plenty of rain but the matting has increased safety for our children under foot. It is truly a wonderful product well worth the money spent.

As you may already be aware Wellington City Council prides itself on being the industry leaders in creative leading edge playgrounds, so it gives me great comfort to know that your product and the installation process meet our strict guidelines including compliance with the New Zealand Safety and Surfacing standards NZS 5828:2004.

The use of All Safe soft fall surfacing has allowed us to cover high traffic, contoured, coastal areas under existing and new equipement, and yet retain a natural grass look. This compares favourably against high maintenance bark, and or synthetic surfacing.

I am writing to express our delight in the safety matting under our new playground equipment, which was supplied and installed by your firm.

The decision to run with ALLSAFE mats was a wise one given the steepness of our playground site. The substantial make-up of the mats (glued and pinned) ensure that there is no movement what-so-ever.

As you know,the facility is heavily used both during and outside of school hours, and yet in the 6 weeks that the playground has been in operation we have had no fall injuries reported. The grass has now grown through the matting stabilising even further the excellent surface, and producing an attractive natural look to the area.
