Playground Safety
By following some simple playground safety rules, you can make the playground an entertaining and safe place for your kids to have fun. Faulty equipment, inadequate surfacing, lack of supervision and careless behaviour can all contribute to preventable accidents and injuries.
We, the team at All Safe, have supplied and installed playground safety equipment across New Zealand for over a decade. Playground safety is at the cornerstone of all we do and we are passionate about making playgrounds, play areas and playing fields as safe as we can. However, whilst safer surfaces are a vital factor in keeping our children safe, it is also important to remember the following:
Playground Safety What Helps to Keep Kids Safe
- Professional and adequate playground design including surface and spacing
- Regular playground equipment inspection and maintenance
- Age appropriate equipment and separation for different ages where possible
- Responsible supervision from adults / caregivers
- Playground rules for kids (such as: no pushing or shoving whilst using equipment, using playground equipment properly, no playing in wet / adverse conditions, keeping bikes away from playground equipment, wearing sunscreen).
We hope these guidelines help you to keep you and your kids safe and to enjoy playtime and playgrounds throughout New Zealand.
